Suspended between the Blues (air and water; sky and ocean) stands the Arc on the site promontory in Sagres. The Arc expands between the two Blues giving one a feeling of floating with an opportunity to experience the immensity of the horizon and the dramatic topography surrounding it. The Arc is set on more than 270 degrees angle which opens up a panorama of every possible destination surrounded by the it.

 

The Viewing Boxes on the Arc takes us on a journey of Architectural modifications inspired from the material advancement accepted in this area. These boxes will be the intermediate resting and closed - semiopen -open view points on the Arc. These boxes will also act as the exhibition and information panneled areas about the acr as well as the surroundings. 

 

The design intervenes the newly developed and extising landscape together. The new developed landscape would act as just demarcating area to create an interest in exploring this area more and attract visitors and tourists. The landscaped designed would engage the visitors with the geology of the area. 

 

The multipurpose spaces, rest areas and storage is designed and placed at the very beginning of the site designed as it could welcome the visitors and also create a suspense in exploration of what comes ahead.
